Experience American Black Film Festival (ABFF) 2025 in Miami: 5 Days of Films, Stars & Culture
The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) returns to Miami Beach from June 11–15, 2025, for its 29th year of championing Black storytelling, talent, and culture. With a rich history of elevating voices in film and television, ABFF has become the go-to destination for creators and fans who want to celebrate Black cinema and network with the industry’s best.

A Festival with Purpose
Since its founding in 1997 by Jeff Friday, the ABFF has grown into the world’s largest gathering dedicated to entertainment by and about people of African descent. What began as a response to the lack of diversity in Hollywood has now evolved into an internationally respected platform for launching the careers of Black actors, writers, directors, and producers.
With more than 7,000 attendees each year, the festival promotes inclusion, innovation, and creative excellence—all while creating a unique space where industry professionals and culture enthusiasts converge.
