Liza Minnelli met the queens of the runway on the season 17 finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and fans are living for it.

The queen of Broadway and legendary EGOT winner made a rare but fabulous appearance on the main stage of Drag Race on Friday, April 18, where she was honored with a new title: The Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award.

Liza Steals the Spotlight (Again)

Seated regally in a throne and dressed in classic black Halston and dazzling jewels, Minnelli, 79, shared a warm exchange with host RuPaul, 64.

“Look at you!” Minnelli said to Ru, to which he quipped, “It only took six hours.”

“Seven for me,” Minnelli replied with a wink. “I’m older than you.”

The two chatted about Hollywood past and present, with Minnelli reflecting on growing up at MGM Studios, where fans flocked to see her mother Judy Garland and father Vincente Minnelli. Her half-brother Joey Luft was also in the audience for the heartfelt moment.

And the Crown Goes To…

As fans dried their happy tears, it was time to name America’s Next Drag Superstar.

The final four queens — Lexi Love, Onya Nurve, Jewels Sparkles, and Sam Star — all brought charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to the main stage. But in the end, it was Onya Nurve who snatched the crown, following in the footsteps of season 16 winner Nymphia Wind.

Other finale honors included:

  • Jewels Sparkles as runner-up
  • Crystal Envy as Miss Congeniality
  • Suzie Toot as Queen of She Done Already Done Had Herses after a fierce lip sync win
