Original Hamilton Cast Reunites at 2025 Tony Awards for 10th Anniversary Performance
Lin-Manuel Miranda and the original cast of Hamilton returned to the stage in spectacular fashion at the 2025 Tony Awards, delivering a rousing medley of hits that brought Radio City Music Hall to its feet.
A Historic Homecoming
To celebrate the musical’s 10th anniversary, creators and stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, Daveed Diggs, Phillipa Soo, Jonathan Groff, Christopher Jackson, Anthony Ramos, and Ariana DeBose reunited for the first time since their final curtain call in 2016.
Dressed in sleek black formalwear rather than their original costumes, the cast began with “Non-Stop” and “My Shot,” before seamlessly blending into crowd favorites like “The Schuyler Sisters,” “You’ll Be Back,” “The Room Where It Happens,” and “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story.”
Standing Ovation and Emotional Reactions
The crowd, including Oprah Winfrey and Ben Stiller, gave the performers a thunderous standing ovation. Backstage and on the red carpet, the cast spoke about the emotional weight of the reunion.
“It was the most heartwarming, beautiful reunion… just 28 people we love so much in one room,” said Emmy Raver-Lampman.
Goldsberry recalled the moment as deeply emotional:
“Every single person that came into the room — just tears of joy.”
A Decade of Impact
Since its Broadway debut on August 6, 2015, Hamilton has transformed musical theater with its blend of hip-hop, history, and heart. The production won 11 Tony Awards in 2016, a Grammy, an Olivier, a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and more. Its Disney+ film release and Diamond-certified cast album have only expanded its legacy.

The 10th anniversary celebration isn’t over. Leslie Odom Jr. will reprise his role as Aaron Burr in a special 12-week run beginning September 9, 2025.
