From Coldplay to Country

Moore, 21, first wowed all four coaches during the Blind Auditions with a pitch-perfect version of Coldplay’s “Yellow.” Known for his silky, pop-leaning voice, the Texas native switched lanes with a heartfelt rendition of Zac Brown Band’s “Free.” Despite being unfamiliar ground for Moore, the performance landed with emotional depth and control, blending traditional country warmth with his signature vocal finesse.

“Britton, your voice on a traditionally country song is so fun to listen to,” said coach Kelsea Ballerini. “Every note is so crisp and perfect. It’s almost like you’re self-auto-tuned.”

Coaches Praise His Range and Growth

Moore’s performance drew high praise from all four coaches. Michael Bublé called it “youthful” with “a gorgeous tone.” John Legend said it was both pitch-perfect and smartly stylized. Legend even joked Moore’s voice was “God-o-tuned.”

Ultimately, coach Adam Levine declared Moore the winner of the Knockout, saying, “You just sing the living crap out of everything you sing.”

Ari Camille Stolen Back by John Legend

Moore’s opponent, Ari Camille, also delivered a standout performance with Faith Evans’ “Love Like This.” After Levine picked Moore, Legend immediately used his last steal to bring Camille back to his team, saying: “Come on home.”

Moore’s cover of “Free” was his first time performing a country song on the show, but judging by the crowd’s response — it won’t be his last.
