The beloved romance of Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring is getting a heartfelt send-off. A Heartstopper feature film has been officially announced, marking the final chapter of their story.

Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their roles, while Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman returns to write the script. Production is set to begin this summer.

A Magical Conclusion for Heartstopper Fans

Alice Oseman, who created the original graphic novel and the hit Netflix series, shared their excitement:

“I’m completely overjoyed that we get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story. I’m so grateful to everyone who made this possible and to the incredible fans for your passion and patience.”

The feature film will pick up after the Season 3 finale, where Nick, Charlie, and their friends took major steps in their relationships.

The Heartstopper movie will adapt Oseman’s upcoming sixth and final graphic novel. It will dive into the bittersweet realities Nick and Charlie face as first loves growing up:

  • Nick prepares to leave for university, testing their bond.
  • Charlie gains new independence at school.
  • Doubts and distance challenge their once-inseparable relationship.

Meanwhile, their friends also face the challenges of change, friendship, and love as they step into adulthood.
